Implant
Each implant intervention is always preceded by a thorough examination and planning based on a 3-dimensional CT scan. During the preliminary consultation, after a detailed general condition assessment and an oral cavity examination, we discuss with the patient the method and course of the implant intervention and possible bone augmentation.
The implantation is performed under local anesthesia, and we emphasize that it is a painless procedure. We offer our patients a wide range of advanced, scientifically proven Swedish Nobel Biocare and Israeli Alpha Bio implants, which are most frequently used worldwide.
The titanium implant that replaces the tooth root is a 7-18 mm long and 3.3-4.3 diameter screw, and has undergone special surface treatment. Thanks to the thread and the surface treatment, the surface is as large and advantageous as possible in order to start the ossification process, also known as osseointegration, as soon as possible. During implantation, a closing screw is placed on the implant, and then the gum is tightly closed above it.
After the healing time, the implant is opened up, and a special gingival healing cap screw is placed on the implant. If an immediate temporary replacement is made for the implant, then the gingival healing cap is placed immediately.
It is screwed to the implant by the abutment.
In terms of their material and construction, the dental restorations prepared for implants are similar to those prepared for the natural dentition.
They are fixed at the Terenyi Clinic with so-called through-screw fixing. After fixing with sufficient force, the screw opening is closed with an aesthetic sealant, it is practically unnoticable. The advantages of this are that the dentist can remove it at any time without damage, and the screwing procedure is gentle on the gums.
There are no specific contraindications to dental implantation.
However, there are general medical conditions that require extra care and consideration:
bleeding, blood clotting problems, taking anticoagulants, bisphosphonate therapy, untreated diabetes, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, epilepsy medications, smoking, poor oral hygiene
